Longhunters Knife & Makers Mark
« on: June 19, 2023, 08:25:40 PM »
I recently acquired this 14" Longhunters knife in a trade for a bag I made and I'm trying to ID the maker of this by the touch mark, any help is appreciated, thanks, Jim

Could be Dennis Miles.  Don't know if he's still around.  Made a ton of knives in the years around the turn of the century (21st).

It thought he was dead, but he's not Snake Plissken so don't really know...

Thanks but no go, I did a search for Dennis Miles and then images and came up with a bunch of pics of his work from the CLA posts, not his touchmark..

Got a tip on another forum that it may be the work and touch mark of a Jeff Davis who was working 12 to 15 years ago, anybody know of him?

I have a Dennis Miles knife I bought from him and it is marked with an M made from 4 hatched lines rather than a stamp like that one.
