A little helper for my range rod

Thank you!
The Ebony has no finish applied, just natural. The final finishing was done with 1000 grit wet-or-dry and then burnished with a piece of white Scotch-bright.

When I built a 14' Spey rod back in the 80's  I used a piece of Madagascar or Brazilian Rosewood for the reel seat. It has it's own oil and needed no finishing and looks as good today as when made, 40 years ago.
