Hello. I have a piece of 3 oz veg. tanned to use on a pouch to cover where the straps and the 2 piece bag go together, I have stained it already. what do I use to soften the leather? Thanks

Neatsfoot oil and work it in, and work the leather back and forth and side to side, it may take a little bit but... you'll get there, just don't soak it a a pan of oil. it will absorb like a sponge and leach oil for a couple years!
