Some one to inlet barrel and RR channel
« on: December 01, 2009, 06:48:28 AM »
In the past I've had Fred Miller inlet barrels and RR channels.  The man does a FANTASTIC job.  I've heard his health is not great, and he's a little overwhelmed.  A short time ago, I believe someone had David Rase inlet one for them.

Is that right, or do I have the wrong David??

David, if that's you, please contact me.

Thanks in advance.
In His grip,

Dane

Fred seemed fine at the CLA in August.  Has something happened since then??

Far as I know there's nothing wrong with Fred.    But, right now it's deer season in Pa. and Fred puts a lot of miles on that
truck of his, but spends little time in the shop.  Also, I don't think he is overwhelmed with work, you might be able to get
something done pretty quickly............Don

We've been using Dave Keck of Knob Mountain Muzzleloading lately.  He does nice work and is both quick and reasonable.  www.knobmountainmuzzleloading.com

Have used Fred Miller in the past but during his surgery and recuperation had Dave Rase do a couple and he does an excellent job....especially lin locating the RR hole for a small web {3/32"} at the breech  for a slender Bucks County LR. Seeing I'm in the Midwest, shipping a blank and bbl to either Fred or Dave and the return shipment are much more expensive now than a few years ago. In fact, shipping charges on all components is getting to be a big cost factor in the selling price.  Possibly should try Pecatonica seeing they're only 100 miles away. .....Fred
