Smoothbore Pistol Accuracy

Did some flintlock shooting demonstrations at the Boy Scout camp last Tuesday. I was pleasantly surprised how well my .50 cal smoothbore "Sparrow" flintlock pistol preformed out just past 15 yards. Both Charlie and I smacked that 6" gong squarely. I used 40 grains of 3f and an unpatched .495 round ball. Could do this stuff all day long

Thank you Daryl. That pistol is a hoot to shoot 🙂

Might have to get a smoothbore pistol one of these days Bob. You've planted a seed!
