« on: July 13, 2023, 01:20:46 AM »
Hi everyone

Does anyone know the size of these screws, I am building a couple of lock kits I picked up and these screws are missing.

I THINK they are 8x32. Try one from a hardware store and see.Better yet call Chambers.

I believe you are correct Bob. I tried an 8x32 from another lock and that was the size used.

Thanks

Why not just buy them from Jim Chambers?

Geeze it seems any lock builder should have a micrometer and a thread pitch gage! Not much of a tooling commitment.

All of my locks used 4x40 or 48 like the British locks.IF need be the holes can enlarged to 5x40 or 48. 6x40 for hammer to tumbler.
