 This one is 3 X 2 3/4 X 1", it is 4 1/4"" tall without the stopper.  The base is held in by 4 Iron pins, it is covered with a piece of Pewter and held by 8 Brass tacks. The tip is a antler, it is pinned to the body with Iron Pins. The top is also covered with Pewter and held with 8 Iron nails. Color is a mix of old stains and dyes.

 Flat horns with applied tips yes, if I remember right there are a couple in Madison Grant's
"Powder Horns And Their Architecture". I've never seen a screw tip made like mine.
