Calling it done……a simple rifle ( by a simple maker ! )

Here’s the latest one. I’ve been at it on this one for several months.   Colerain  .50 cal. swamped barrel ,   Kibler lock, just decent wood ( not bottom grade…..but close.) LMF stain and Permalyn finish. .  No inlays, no shiny stuff,  no frills..  Comes in at a little over 8 lbs.  Holds nice, decent trigger pull.   Hope to get some balls cast and shoot at the next club Sunday shoot

I like it. This is what I believe the vast majority of rifles from this period looked like. the reasons all the fancy ones still exist is they wee never taken out and used hard. Guns like yours simply wore out or broke. Nice job and thanks for posting it.
