Haven’t posted in a while, here are a few pics of my latest attempt at constructing a flintlock fowler. Visited several terrific arms museums in Europe, back in May, which inspired me bigly.

Yes, Rich, I made the buttplate, and the sideplate. The lock started out as a Davis Jaeger lock. Nobody sells one with the look I wanted, but this one filed out pretty nicely.

Like what you have going so far. Very nice sideplate. Wonderful wood as well.
