Honacre half stock Raleigh County WV. In the early 80's, my Pop's coworker from Mercer County WV, brought him his Grandfather's rifle for repair. We wanted one so I took it to Bob Hunt in Wnston Salem and he copied the stock. Met Jim Webb that day for the first time too. Anyway, this fellow was a Lilly and his Grandfather built the rifle was a Sheetz. I have misplaced pictures of original. Siler mountain lock appropriate but at time Pop had me use what he had.

I remember Bob Hunt and he was in Charleston WVa when I met him.He did make some nice rifles and if my memory is right I think he was a school teacher.I used to see him at the Bill's Creek range when the Mountaineer Flintlock Rifle Club held their monthly shoots.A LOT of water has gone down that little creek since then and the power company that owned the range property shut it down.I think there was a safety issue involved and I heard a passing car was hit by a ricochet and that WAS a possibility.
