Nicholas Beyer Rifle
« on: September 13, 2023, 12:55:29 AM »
I haven't made a new rifle in a while. Covid and the shortage of gunparts leaving me with basically just a stock blank and no parts for quite a while. After receiving a new barrel last fall, I managed to complete this spring. It is a replica of a Nicholas Beyer rifle. It has a swamped .54 cal. Rice barrel inlet into a stock supplied by Harrison Gunstocks. The lock is a L & R Durs Egg.

I hope you enjoy the pictures.

Take care. Cheers Niall

Nicely done. He is a difficult builder to try to replicate, but you have done a nice job. Thanks for sharing.

I like it. I like your choices throughout, except for the buttplate.
you're a better engraver than  Beyer was.

Nice Job! I am not that familiar with Beyer, but you made a fine looking rifle.

Nicely done Niall...I like the way you've rounded the bottom of the forestock, and not left any extra wood on the forestock. Niall's been doing excellent engraving as long as I have known him (long time).  Nice to see you're still at the bench.
