Lauk buck and ball gun
« on: September 23, 2023, 10:54:09 PM »
I fell in lust after seeing the Lauck "buck and ball" piece at the Wilderness Road museum, earlier this year. After finishing my latest, and only build/assembly attempt in about 20 years, I would like to try my hand at building this piece. After searching my books and on line, I have found little to no information on this piece. Does anyone know where I could find information as to dimensions, bore dia, etc.? I assume this Lauck piece was made approximately 1790s to roughly 1810ish, or so?

Any pertinent information would be greatly appreciated.

Yes. Thank you. I used the search function on the forum, and net wide, but failed to find this thread.

It has, to my untrained eye, great architecture which should make for a good shooter.

Thanks again
