How did you achieve this color?

Thanks. The stain is a mix of Laurel Mountain Forge Cherry stain and denatured alcohol. I started out with a 25/75 mix and kept adding stain until I got the color I wanted. Used scrap cherry wood for the test. Ended up with about a 50/50 mix. I did 3 coats of stain over a 2 day period, with 0000 steel wool between coats. It’s finished with 3 hand rubbed coats of Tried & True oil varnish with 2 days between coats. Light steel wool between coats too.

Thanks. The barrel has 2 coats of full strength Jax Black, on the iron and lock I used a 50/50 distilled water/Jax Black. Everything was drawn back with 0000 steel wool.
