Later Iron Full Stock

This old gal came up to me today for review and thoughts. I know - mine I'd like yours.
Full stock figured maple, all iron roughly .38/ 40 cal.

The long, forged triggerguard has a Virginia feel to me, the lower Shenendoah Valley.

I suspect lower valley and or west to WV based on the front lock mortise and provenance - which is oral.history and subject to question - but matches the features.

Does the lock bolt go in from the side plate and screw into the lock plate? Looks like it might have to be based on the location of the lock screw hole.

Oops, the last photo answered my question. My guess would be South Western VA, probably Botetourt County VA south.
