Even a blind hog……
« on: October 14, 2023, 02:22:23 AM »
Well as usual instead of selling something at the show today, I came home with something.  My old friend and mentor Greg Park built this rifle 25 years ago.  He built it as he was helping me with my first gun from a blank.  I watched it from a stick of wood to completion.  It’s based on the Schriet rifle.  .62 caliber hand rifled barrel (by Greg) and a lock built by Eric Kettenburg.  I’ve lusted after this gun forever and today it came home with me.

I sure can understand wanting that gun even without some history.  😀

Nice , Well, executed rifle.
Rightful liberty is unobstructed action according to our will within limits drawn around us by the equal rights of others. I do not add 'within the limits of the law' because law is often but the tyrant's will, and always so when it violates the rights of the individual.

I am glad you have it. I sold a rifle made by a friend for another friend. Sold it to pay a hospital bill….. Still regret it.

Thank you all.  I'd like to shoot at least one deer with this rifle.  Eventually it will end up with my son (hopefully not for a while yet LOL).  Right after I got started Greg sold a rifle based on the Marshall gun.  I was young with a new family and couldn't spring it.  Fortunately that wasn't the case this time.
