We are trying to figure out who made this rifle. This is the only picture that I have right now.
Does anyone know this signature? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm with Rich. My guess was Jim Parker, but not his signature. Beautifully done Lehigh rifle!

Is it a copy of an original?

That’s certainly not Louie’s signature on the barrel??

This looks like a original barrel by the signature. Louies full name is Louie Ray Parker. Sometimes he signed L. P. Great looking rifle. Jim Parker likes using the three crosses.

Mac, I think the one your thinkiing about is an Adam Herman Rupp style Louie Parker made in the early niineties . If I remember correctly it had a dome style patch box lid . I have a picture of it somewhere or at least did have. Jim

I stand corrected, found some text on in side of PB lid "Birth of a Nation" a name I miss read as Louie and a date of 1990.
Not having any luck posting the image of it, will keep trying
It will be at the Carlisle show this weekend.

This piece has more creative features than most any rifle that you will ever see. The buttplate return is the patchbox release. I thought that maybe the wood had shrunk back because there is a 1/32” gap along the return. Nope it’s there by design.
This piece has inlays inside the ramrod groove.
The inlays in the buttstock are amazingly intricate.
The lock appears to be hand made.
I believe this was made by someone who had experience in gun making and understood longrifle architecture and design while having an extremely creative side. This one was likely made in the 60s or early to mid 70s.
I call these ultra contemporary. A definite modern take on a traditional style.

It seems that this gun was made and owned by Lawrence Kaufka and possibly ending the mystery. At any rate, this interesting piece will now call Stoner Creek home. I’m going to pull the barrel on Sunday and see what else that I can learn!!

I took the barrel out this morning (no markings) but saw something else totally different to me. Bent (intentionally) and tapered barrel pins. Maybe it was done before but this is my first experience with them. Ya don’t want to lose those things!

I guess I assumed the bent pins happened because of stock movement?

No, this was intended. The bend is up and down. I can only opine that the maker wanted the pins to come out of the stock in a specific place.
