Jim Chambers Smoothrifle kit

I am looking for reviews on the Jim Chambers Smooth Rifle "Newcomer" inspired kit. How was the build? And How does is handle and shoot? I also wonder how it would handle in a .50 cal rifled version.

All I know is my Chambers PA Fowler as well as my TVM French Tulle are so nice to point, I shoot them both pretty well.  I am thinking this smooth rifle--but going ahead and rifling it, might suite me really well. I also kinda like the fowler trigger guard-- simple and historical it seems.

I built one with a walnut stock and 50 cal rifled barrel. I guess that makes it a rifled rifle.  The kit went together well. It handles nicely. Weight and balance is about perfect for me, and shoots better than I can.
