get some high temp spark plug nickel anti seize stick or paste,   found in napa or any auto dept.   apply to male treads ,a little works great

Anti seze is good stuff. However it is like inletting black. Just look at it wrong and it is everywhere!!

Yes with the grease but be frugal, it comes back and bites you when you brown or blue the barrel. Degrease well then do it again. It will clock back in with a lot less torque due to thread stretch. Bob

The last Rice barrel I purchased, I made a special request for the breach plug to be loosened before shipping. The seller complied and I saved myself a wrestling match, not to mention purchasing specialized tools I really don't want.
