Albrecht inspired build progress and pics

Good morning folks! I haven't posted my progress in quite a while. This is my first build
from a blank
under the guidance of Jeff Talbert. Jeff helped me finish a Chambers Fowler as well. It's based on the Albrecht that some call the "Two Tailed Dog". The carving will be a mixture from that gun along with a more classic "C" scroll behind the cheek piece based on one of his other guns. I just finished inletting the star I made from sheet brass. I'm pleased with how it came out. I hope you enjoy a few pics of it so far.

Super! ( I don't think Albrecht made the original....a young Oerter is my bet)

Say, any of you boys smithies? Or, if not smithies per se, were you otherwise trained in the metallurgic arts before straitened circumstances forced you into a life of aimless wanderin'?

Thanks everyone for the encouraging words. Mike what tells you it might be Oerter who built the original? The wire inlay?

Oerter had a very active imagination. Albrecht had a very traditional training and I belive stuck to traditional euro style decoration. These animals were way out of his wheelhouse.
