Progress on spring shoot prize
« on: January 28, 2024, 02:45:34 AM »
For the last several years I’ve built a gun for a prize at our spring shoot ( shameless plug…. Fort Tassinong Muzleloaders……good shoot, good camping….good company…..come check us out on face book….better yet, come in person  .)  One of our members in the past has donated material for the build, and this year it was a trade gun kit.   I’m getting close on it and it’s been an education. Don’t recall building a trade gun in before ( probably have but can’t remember yesterday,)
At any rate, here’s a pic…..an open to suggestions ( but my wife says I don’t take criticism well………………….at least from some sources…)

Looks like a Baker?
My first thought too, not a trade rifle.

Actually it is a Baker.    Old age is setting in, and I’m getting more absent minded daily.

Don…you are a GENTLEMAN and a SCHOLAR…..a fine addition, not only to the club but to the human race , and I can almost guarantee this fine specimen of European Gunsmithing art can be yours to proudly show your friends and relatives, and any of the local yokels who think the only real guns need those funny looking “ cartridge” things.

Just buy about 700 of the raffle tickets.

( sometimes I just can’t help myself….look forward to seeing you at the club sometime….Mike Mullins.
