Beaded Coat

I was inspired to make this coat after seeing a coat in the Museum of Natural History in Denver.  I started this project in 1993 by purchasing the leather.  In 1996 I finally cut out the pieces and assembled the pieces. Shortly after I beaded the first bird and the project got put on hold once again.  I finally finished the beading during the Covid shutdown.

Hawkeye, it definitely was. I don't have any idea how many hours I have in beading this coat. I do remember that in the final push that I wore four holes in my thumbnail from pushing the needle through.
