I believe those configurations/styles were used primarily for horses, mules, cattle, etc. Any maker's marks?

jFrom what little reading I've done I believe these were used for both humans and veterinary purposes . I would guess the two bigest one were for animals.There was also a spring loaded one for people .
The horn one is marked Borwick . They were in business 1791-1860. Some of the later ones were marked Borwick cast steel. The stag handle one is marked Jennings sydney. Jim
