It is indeed a grand rifle!  But I don't see any GS unless there's an overlay on the pb lid?  I see bright steel, no German silver.

You are correct, the oval inlay on the patchbox lid is sterling silver.  Once I get the wrist relieved between the tang and nose of the comb carving I will inlet a sterling silver inlay into the wrist.
