Finished this guy up a little while back.
Beautiful stick of wood from Tom Fornicola
42" Getz barrel 40 cal
Larry Zornes lock
Mike Brooks triggerguard
Dave Keck buttplate
All the rest was made by me
I really want to give a shout out to Allen Martin, Eric Kettenburg & Eric Von Aschwege.  Thanks, guys, for the help and insight for this build.

It’s a real gem. Super flow and wonderful carving. Did I see it on the judging table at Kempton?

That is one fine job of rifle building and that incised carving is exceptional and shows a real skill set along with the rest of the rifle.

Thanks, guys, for all your kind words.  Of course I had this one in the show.  It was awarded several ribbons including the Rich Hujsa ribbon which pretty much blew me away emotionally.  I'm still trying to digest it.

Very glad to see something commemorative for Rich, and glad that the award went to this piece.

What veiner did you use for the incise work?  Very clean work and must have been very sharp.  Absolutely excellent.  I'd like to know and I'm sure many would like to know.

Thanks Eric.  I use a Pfiel 16-3 V tool for the larger scroll work, and a Pfiel 16-1 for the smaller stuff.

Hi Tommy,
Great rifle and great fair!  I saw it at Kempton and was sure it would be a winner in many categories.  Well done!! What many folks might not know is that Tommy and Brett Davis organized and supported all the seminars and demos at the fair. They worked hard and made sure it was a success.  Many thanks to both of you.

Congratulations! A beautiful gun for sure!
I'm still trying to process the ribbon award, there must have been some changes made, is the Rich Hujsa ribbon the same as a best of show? Maybe the judges can explain this detail on here?

We didn’t want to diminish The significance of The Hujsa Award and award the same rifle the Best of Show also! ( which it was)
Had there been another rifle entered of the same quality and follow the requirements for replication of Pennsylvania longrifle we would have. But we didn’t feel as such.
I personally feel TommyG feels the same way!!!!!
It was definitely nice to finally give this award to a fitting rifle after a three year wait.
