Faux twist 1st attempt

First attempt at faux twist using a modified version of the method Curtis posted here

. I used the dychem but omitted the etching.

The tang does look a little strange in contrast.

The tang and lock still need to be color case hardened.

Mike, I'm glad to see you getting some mileage out of that old tutorial! Your barrel turned out quite nice. Makes me think I might have to try tat again on a future project. Thanks for posting your method and results!
