    well still a long way to go but not too bad from a 2"5/8 maple plank and being stuck in a wheelchair.

You have used that 2-5/8 “ thickness VERY well !     That’s going to turn out as a very nice great handling rifle !!
What size/caliber barrel are you thinking ?
