Hi Dane,
Well done.  For an authentic English finish you need more coats to fill the grain and create at least a satin gloss.  I like the color.  I have never seen and English export or sporting gun with a dull "oil in the wood finish".  Not ever.  Even the military guns.  Here is a photo of a short land British musket used by the 34th regiment of foot during the Rev War.  Note the glossy finish.


This is typical with finer guns having a finer finish but none with a dull "oil in the wood" appearance.  That is simply unauthentic and of very modern origin.

I have never done a finish like that. I KNOW you’re right, just a little ignorant on the process.

 the color/finish looks very similar to my English Short Rifle that is true English Walnut. Well done.
