Looking for a piece of walnut
« on: September 25, 2024, 06:24:52 PM »
Working on the reproduction of a small, original blunderbuss.  The original is stocked with a plain but very dense piece of walnut.  I'm looking for a plain, very hard, dense piece at least 2 inches thick and 26 inches long.  Willing to pay up to ~$150 (or whatever).  Thought I would check to see if anyone in this crowd had a piece that needed a good home.... :)

I got a good piece from Allen Martin, very straight grain dense and hard.

I second Allen Martin.  I just bought a piece from him for a build.
