Contemporary Lock Marked ASHMORE

Are any contemporary builders marking their locks ASHMORE?

That’s from way back in the 60s-70s. Nobody out there making those things anymore I’m pretty certain.

I made a number of them using cast plates marked Ashmore and they had matching hammers.This probably in the late 1960' or early 70's.My locks will have my last name inside and a year date or later USA.I have no plates now other than one marked L&S Hawken made using an antique lock as a mould master.

Here's a Hawken flinter I made a couple years ago for a local fellow.  I used an L & R late English lock (#900 I think), and did some file work and engraving on it.  I engraved "Ashmore Warranted" on the plate.  I think Ashmore's warrantee is defunct, but mine is good.

I have a pair of left and right Ashmore flintlocks locks that I bought from Dixie Gun Works probably back in the 70's or early 80's.  The are marked Dixie Gun Works inside along with made in Italy.  They seem to be fairly decent but have no idea how they would hold up over time.  They've held up fine in my drawer for the last 40 years!  I fantasized I would build a double barreled something.
