New / Old Woods Runner by Jack Duprey
« on: October 26, 2024, 01:33:09 AM »
Hello All,

Christmas came early this year. I've really tried to be good too!

Anyway, I received a Woods Runner rifle from Bob Miller. Bob did a GREAT job on the rifle, however I wanted the rifle to truly be mine, so I asked my friend Jack DuPrey to give the rifle an upgrade, by that I mean to beat it up some. I know, I know, but I sort of like my gear to look like me, a little older and beat up some.

Jack let me "help" him on some of the work. I was amazed at how he did things. I think I wore a smile for a whole week.

Please see before and after pics. I am thankful to my friend for his willingness to help me on this project.

Thank you for looking

The last picture is "Master Jack" holding his handy work.

Thank you,

Doug

Other than our family heirloom rifle that Jim Kibler made for me several years ago all the rest of my rifles have been "patinaed" mostly by Don Bruton. Yours is exactly done perfectly! Thanks for posting it for all of us to appreciate.

Oh man what an upgrade.   That looks so good.   "Antiquing" is quite an art.  Jack is a great talent and super guy.   God Bless,   Marc

Jack's a great guy who can still outshoot us younger fellows at 89 or so.

You are right Tom,

I've witnessed myself Jack shooting a "double holer"! Two shots same hole.

Very talented down to earth true Gentle man.

Regards,

Doug
