Brian,
I'm not sure how I missed this rifle until now. It's a beaut, for sure. I have an ash stock with a barrel in it waiting on me to get started. What did you use for staining and finishing this rifle. I agree, it looks great!

Ron, I used Kibler's iron nitrate stain and Pilkington stock oil. I think I used some soot in one or two of the coats of oil.

Where did you manage to find Pilkingtons oil? I thought they were out of business. I have a small bottle of it but it's basically for rejuvenating a stock but I sometimes rub it on at the end.

I bought a couple of bottles from Brownell's back during the covid years. I didn't know that they were out of business now. I really like their oil.
