Unmarked .62 Hawken Rifle

This .62 Hawken style rifle is so danged nice I wish the builder would have signed it. It has a 34", 1:60 Colerain barrel and Davis lock. No other markings I can find. Gotta get those scooe blocks off. Loc-Tite.

Is the nose cap pewter? Where it come from might help. It does kind of look like Don Secondine's work but that's just a guess.

Other than removing the scope blocks and filling the screw holes" or just glued? The muzzle's crown would be smoothed in my shop, then
cast up some balls, cut some patches and head to the range.

Could use a crowned muzzle for sure. Gotta heat those scope blocks to get them off. Need filler screws.

Congratulations. I was wondering how that scope was attached to the barrel. It seems professionally done, but how?
