Thanks so much for the response.....beautiful cannon lock !! As usual, I am admiring your craftsmanship.
Although I have a full size cannon, I am really looking for a cannon flintlock as more of a desk ornament.... I just like the look and the history behind them. I usually use a linstock to fire the big gun, but never liked the slow fuse effect of just priming the vent with loose powder. I started using some pyrotechnic fuse I found that burns at ~ 1/2 second per foot !! I use about 6 inches to fire the gun, so a 1/4 second delay from linstock touch to the gun going off is fine...
