I saw a stock finish mentioned in another post and would like to know the proportions to mix it and how its applied.
The finish is spar varnish, boiled linseed oil and turpentine .

Are they all mixed together, or how do they apply all those finishes? ???

A finish that I like is 50% spar varnish and 50% tung oil. If I add any turpentine or mineral spirits the finish will come out hazy on any kind of day with high humidity (most of the summer in NC). The 50/50 mix makes into a very thin finishing liquid and penetrates well into the wood when applied with a paint brush. Give it 5 or 10 minutes and wipe with a lint free cloth and allow to dry. The spar varnish will speed up the drying. Do this until the pores of the wood are filled and then rub the finish on by hand until you are happy with the results. I haven't used any linseed oil but i think it might make up into a thicker liquid than the tung oil and you might get longer drying times. I think the turpentine might be used to thin the liquid.

I thouroughly mix equal amounts of spar varnish, boiled linseed oil and terpentine.  The application involves wiping on a very thin coat, letting it sit for about two hours and rub with a clean cotton cloth.  It takes about 10-12 applications to fill the pores and build a nice finish with a hand-rubbed appearance.  You will not get a glossy varnish type of look with this appearance.

The finish is spar varnish, boiled linseed oil and turpentine .

Use REAL spar varnish and REAL turp.
Age the turpentine in a shallow dish for at least 24 hours so it can pickup oxygen.
I would mix the varnish 50-50 with the oil then use about 25-50% of that as aged turps.
But I make my own oil by cooking store bought "boiled oil" to reduce its acid content and greatly cut its drying time.
I mix this with Grumbachers Oil Painters Medium III 50/50 and it makes a soft varnish.
But I generally only use this for the top coat.
