This horn was on Ebay last week, just arrived today. Had to pay $35.00 for it, plus $7.00 shipping. It was so cheap, I'm worried it might be a piece of junk. What do you think?

Looks pretty good to me. Is it air tight?

Here's another issue with the new horn. It's threads in the screw tip are so fresh looking, it looks like Tim might have made it recently and put it on Ebay to make coffee money while he's working on other horns.

The threads don't look that fresh to me, it might simply be from a lack of exposure or use. There appears to be some oxidation present, more than if this was a recent make.

It looks good to me. If it leaks air when you try to blow through it I wouldn't use it.

As others have already said, looks good, you got a deal.
Threads don't look fresh. Also, screw-off end is warped which would happen if it's been sitting in someone's closet or attic for a coupla years.
I got an just OK horn from Midway which was close to what you paid.

Nope, it didn't come from Colorado... and your memory is a little foggy... horns from out there aren't really that cheap! This one came from a picker in New York. When I checked the other items she had listed on Ebay, it was obvious she was into modern household items and decorative items, with no interest in pieces related to firearms or early history. I felt badly about jumping on the horn since she had no clue about what she had, other than it was dark and dirty and she was probably glad to see it go. But if I hadn't grabbed it, someone else would have in the next minute or two.
