Antique .36 caliber percussion rifle
« on: March 22, 2025, 03:45:32 PM »
1840ish-39" barrel, 7/8" ATF.  Barrel stamped "Penabaker" on the bottom flat.  Has a "Partridge Warranted" percussion lock and single phase double set triggers.  Bore has a rough spot about midway down from the muzzle.  There is a home made brass peep sight.  No cracks in the wood, and the barrel retains approximately 80% of the original brown.  Wood finish is original except for a coat of renaissance wax.  I have found a .345 ball with a .015 greased patch loads and shoots well.  A .350 ball with the same patch loads hard.  I am including a Tanner brass ball mold in .345.  Asking $475 plus shipping.  Postal money order only.
