The attic condition John Sheets rifle, with local family provenance going back to its purchase, fascinated me. Fortunately, it sold before I could seriously begin to think about it. Rifles like that are really rare these days, especially when by a fine maker.

It'll be interesting to see what the horn patchbox cover goes for. If we get to see it the price.
I was there when it was bought at the local gun show. I guess I should say if not the same one, then it's twin brother.
If it's the same one, it's certainly original and not a knockoff. Very nice in hand, as well.
