Frank Bartlett .40 cal flintlock

This rifle was built in 1983 with a Getz barrel and a Long lock.  Engraving done by LH Harrison.

From what I have been able to gather is that Frank was a very well-known and respected builder.

This rifle has quite a few really neat features and I think the pictures capture that well.   Note the patch box spring and the "made in Hong Kong" sticker.   Apparently, Frank has a sense of humor.

Fancy maple stock with lots of bling.

I have had this rifle for several years and only got it out once to shoot.   It is not sighted in and no load worked up for it.  I don't think that the prior owner shot it.

I am not much of a flintlock guy so I have decided to see if anyone else might want to enjoy this rifle.

The double trigger set screw has been broken off, you can see that in one of the pictures.  Should not be a big deal to fix.   That is the only thing wrong with this rifle.

Price is $5,000.00.  I would prefer to deliver it to you either on my way to Fship or at Fship in June (I live in Iowa).   I really dont want to ship this rifle, but if I have to, add another $200 for shipping and insurance.

Superb rifle and I sold locks to Frank Bartlett years ago.What happened to the moulds for the Ron Long flintlocks.Are they being used now and by who?I used a number of his cap lock plates and hammers.

Beautiful rifle. I’d agree he had a sense of humor. The patch box lid kicker spring is unique to say the least.
