Sorry I missed this guy in my TN gunsmiths book. Of all oddities, I located him while doing a very different search. Oerhaps if you bought the book you'd like to add this.

John McBride from Shelby County entered prison June 26, 1841 for counterfeiting, sentence 8 years. He is 39 years old, 5’8” high, 155 lbs, hazel eyes, dark hair with gray streaks, fair skin and a quiet spoken person. He was born in Knox Co., raised in Maury Co. One brother Ezekiel McBride lives in Benton Co. nine miles from Mason’s Ferry on the Tennessee River; his brother Andrew Jackson McBride lives in Wayne Co. on the a ?? Creek; one brother, a gunsmith, lives in Hardeman County on the Hatchee River 12 miles from Bolivar, does not know where his one sister lives. John McBride married the daughter of John Hodges who lives within 16 miles east of Memphis, one on the state line and within 3 miles of Germantown [Tennessee Convicts: Early Records of the State Penitentiary]
