Another trial , a wallet 5 1/2 deep x 5 wide could almost turn it into a pouch. Made with many pieces of old suede jacket, pillow ticking for the inside and brown thread. In the flap i can place two pieces of flint and i use sinew for keeping it close. Place the suede side for the flap to maybe just change the pattern of the colour, turned out so-so and should of turn the flap joint would look better. Difficult material to sew it's very pliable but fun to try. Comments welcome.

what would you typically carry in it?  I'm assuming its for hunting use.  what else would you be carrying, and how?

The wallet that i make has a special place for the flints, a can put a fire stater, or spare bullets and anything else that i feel that i need for the day and throw it  in the pouch with my lunch so i don't need to empty the pouch for the small stuff that always get stuck in the bottom and if i don't need the pouch for that day i can throw that wallet in a coat pocket and i am gone. We all have are preference for what we feel we need to carry in these little bags and you know it's big enough that i could of made a small pouch by adding a small belt to it.
