"Violin Making: As It Was and Is" (Sold)
« on: September 20, 2025, 07:26:55 AM »
I purchased this book over 20 years ago when I was going through my make my own stains and varnish's phase.  Also, I always figured if became illegal to make rifles any longer, I would switch over to violin making.  My main reason for purchasing this book was the chapter on finish's.  This book was first written in 1885 so like a lot of historical books, it is packed with information, but is a hard read.  Asking $25.00 for this book and I will ship it to you via USPS media rate.
Thanks for looking,
David

That is a FANTASTIC book especially dealing with varnish making.  I have a copy Bill Knight gave me probably 25+ years ago.
Strange women lying in ponds, distributing swords, is no basis for a system of government!
