Gents, I`m on my first build. Managed to make all the usuall mistakes I`m sure, but till now I think my work will do. I`m getting close to where I can start to finish the stock and components, but have noticed a potential problem. While gripping the forestock, I thought I detected movement, the barrel to stock fit felt spongy. I look a little closer and when squeezing I can see movement (.020-.030). If I loosen the tang screw the tang raises a bit (.020-.030). The stock/barrel tightens like when I first inlet the breechplug. I tighten it again a I can hear a little creak as the components mate, and the gaps back. My guess is I took too much material out of the stock under the tang when I inlet it. Now to fix it... Should I try to bend the tang down a little to match my inlet, or maybe bed it with a compound of sorts? I`m not sure what would be the best move atm...... Thx Kerry
