Tim....I am sure there are many ways to deal with that small tab under the rear extension of the guard, here's another
one. I have moved some, or made longer ones this way. I cut the present tab off, file it flat, then make a new, bigger
tab. Drill a hole thru the guard where you want the tab, about 1/8" or smaller. Countersink it slightly on the outside.
File a round stub on the new tab to fit thru the hole, leaving enough extension to allow for peening. Peen it real well,
then file off smooth on the outside. I suppose you could also solder it, I never have. It works............Don
