A few years ago in Phoenix I ran across some nice milled aluminum mounts for a rear Redfield style sight, but didn't need one. Now I do, & a mount for an olympic style front wouldn't be bad to find either. I have a plains style rifle with a 42" 1 1/8 X 42" XX Douglas in .54 cal that has convinced me that it would be a good light bench/buffalo gun. It might also work for chunk given the group I shot with it yesterday, some being able to remove the Redfield & use open sights would be nice too. Anyone know of such beasts?
