Roger Fisher in Muzzle Blasts

Rogers article on ML accuracy from spittin & not wiping..... leads me to wonder if you carry a canteen on your woodswalks to keep the juices flowing? Is it spiked with anything? I get too dried out after walkin about the woods to get a good sloppy spitpatch going consistently. I used to use chewin baccy in my foolish youth, but no more. Yuk!
Rogers way is worth a try!

I missed the article.  But yeah, if I'm going to do a lot of spit-patchin' I'll drink water as I go.

Sometimes putting the patch in my mouth a good time in advance helps.

Good article by Roger, and yes - spit is the way to go IMHO.

Keeping something handy to replenish your spit on a hot day is not a bad idea.  No reason not to carry a canteen along with you.  Simple water or something like Power Aid should work fine.  I like the Power Aid myself as I once got dehydrated and that was what the doctor ordered for me to get rehydrated.  By gosh it worked!  I was spittin' again in no time. :)

Roger, good article.  I read it before noticing you were the author.

Pretty good with one MB issue having two articles by ALR members!
