No reason to apologize. I like the idea of seeing the first builds of the men and women that I have grown to admire and respect. I am truly thankful for this sight and a man by the name of Fred Riddle and of course my Wife. He initialy got me started in Muzzleloading. My wife noticed I had a desire in Ball & Cap pistols so bought me one for my birthday. I talked to Fredd about it, invited my to a shoot and the love affair began. I ran out bought a Traditions Kentucy Kit literally slapped it together and started shooting.
Trying to find information about ML ing I stumded across this site. The rest is pretty much history. This first Non-Kit build is definately an eye opening experience, I'm finding out my woodworking skills are a bit rusty. My chisels are hand me downs and I really don't know how to sharpen them. I did get some help from Woodcraft. I bought some stones for the carving tools.
I then built myself a workbench learned how to post pics. I would LOVE to see everyone first build. Like someone stated for inspiration. Great Idea It should be titled The Good The Bad and so on. Now since I like posting pics here's my wookbench.
