Anyone ever use Jatoba for a stock

I was reading about a cherry substitute called Jatoba and wondered if anyone has ever tried it for stockwork. Curious about the working qualities of it.

heres a site, one of several you can save and use to check out different kinds of woods.  I've linked it straight to the Jatoba page

I've used it in the form of numerous pre finished flooring.Looks nice but thats it IMO.It is very dense, heavy.,noxious sawdust, burns VERY hot, most pieces  seem to be strait grained, but seems to split with the grain easy,Now working from a large blank might be different,Are you planning on building a period S. American  fiream?? ;)

Just my thoughts,Alex E.
