Another Horn With two Bands
« on: March 24, 2010, 07:21:44 PM »
This one is about 12 1/2" around the outside curve. The Cherry base is hollowed out and is about 2's. The horn fits up inside the base and held on with steel pins. The tip is antler and is pined on, it is about 2" X 5/8s. The two horn bands are now pinned on, when the pics taken then were only heated and pressed on. One slipped so I pined them both.

Tim,

It looks like there ought to be a third band.   Is there a reason there are only two toward the butt of the horn?
