At 21 pages of nice rifles it should be a sticky...

I would agree with you, but for that I'm guessing most of the eye candy is gone due to "policy" changes at photobucket.

Here is my go to squirrel rifle. Forty caliber, iron mount by Ron Ehlert. Wish I could go to the woods one more time with him.

Lovely rifle TN longhunter! I'm not really a patch box kinda guy, but I like that one, nice shape and great patina.

The last time I hunted squirrels I used this. I was about 7 years old.

That is the favorite style rifle. love the way the buttstock is bigger than lets say a carolina or kilber style rifle.. Is the mounts custom made or can they be bought?

All mounts were forged by Ron. The "spear point" motif is found on all parts.

It shoots a ball? I'm confused.

To be serious. The squirrels around here are ratty looking and wouldn't make much of a meal. Rabbits aren't bad though. Mostly i'm a big game hunter. We have lots of that here. Too bad too about the squirrels. A 36 cal sounds pleasant to shoot in my old age.

Nice gun, I like the box. Just in case you forget what you're hunting, look at the box! ;D

That might be the coolest patchbox in the history of squirrel guns!  Don't know how early it would date to historically, but i bet "if they'da had it, they'da used it" ;D...cuz I sure would!

I'm not sure, grouch, but I think the base is brass with a steel blade.
