Tim Albert posted a couple of pics a while back of a bag he made from an old feed sack.  I was inspired to do something along those lines for myself.  Maybe not historically correct but still fitting for a late Southern flinter I think.  You can get some feed sacks with pretty interesting designs.    I could not resist "Patriot Brand" seeds.

Ken,

If you throw it in a mud puddle and stomp on it a bit, it would look perfect.   Right now, it is way to clean.

Thanks for the kind words guys.  Mark, I agree...it's way too clean.  I've turned it inside out and filled it with old coffee grounds and tea bags.  If that doesn't work I'll give your mud hole suggestion a try.  Dragging it through the woods next hunting season should help a little too.

 Neat look'in bag. Got a riding mower? Tie it on the back and drag it around the yard a couple of weeks, that will take the newness out of it.

Good-looking pouch Ken. I think it is very appropriate for a Southern gun. Love the bark tan flap and strap. They go right with it.

I would like to see it after the "aging." I think that will add to it as well.

I like it! I can envision some of my people on White Top Mountain using something such as that with their front stuffers in the late 19th -early 20th century.
Very believable. I agree you need a little blood and some wagon axle grease on that thing.  ;D

Ken, that is wonderful.  You did something I didn't have the courage to try, but is perfect.  But, I do agree with the others, way too clean.  ;D

Thanks for all the kind comments and suggestions.  I agree 100% with all the sugegstions to dirty the bag up and it will be spending some quality time in some dirty places.   ;D

I know the antique shop you are talking about.  We drive up on Fri morning and stop at that one before heading over to the Museum.  We are planning to do the same this year.

I manged to get a little dirt on it.  Really more tea and coffe than dirt but it toned it down just the same.  Thanks for all the comments,
